Where are the 1.8 downpipes?
Discussion
Leanne , Just hack the heat shield tin off , save your money , if you want to cut down on the heat get some exhaust wrap . if you do need part try www.mx5heaven.co.uk just been down there getting bit ,and they have second hand 1.8 parts in stock
Cheers (AGAIN!) Dennis, I found a pipe for £60 (fitted) which i thought was pretty good, but like you say, it's only the heat shield that looks a bit knackered and the new ones don't come with them, so i think your idea would be the best bet. I was going to ask my friend who's a bit handy with the welder to make me one, if i don't do what you said.

I think I've got a 4 branch 1.8 manifold buried in my spare room somewhere which I didn't get around to fitting before I bought the turbo (which I haven't fitted yet either... ) I'm down in Oxford if you fancy a bit of engine bay bling.
That would be good, great infact, but i've been spending MORE than enough this month! Shame, as oxford isn't that far away from me either, I'll have to see if the offer still stands after i keep a check on the purse strings for next month. I could buy it off you now, but oooooh......ahhhhhh........nah...ummmmmmmm..... i need to save money, GAH! DennisTheMenace said:
The one you have is perfectly ok minx , just hack the heat sheild off and barp on
I think i will do that, the only thing i was wondering was, that if my emissions are sky high, i need to give the cat as much help as i can by keeping the heat in it. I just want to get it through the MOT at the minute, i'm worrying incase the cat and O2 sensor wont fix it. Gassing Station | Mazda MX5/Roadster/Miata | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
