Is this a steal of a deal?

Looking at some of the other cars on sale, this seems pretty cheap.

Yes I did. Was looking through this forum today though and was quite surprised at some of the prices stated for older imports and various other cars. Slightly concerned now that I am going to find it is not as good as it seems.
Well if you change your mind, give me a shout. Seriously So I think on reflection the answer is, yes, it was a steal of a deal. Still wondering what is wrong with it to be honest, but nothing seems to be. It needs some very minor cosmetic tidying on the bodywork (and I mean really minor), needs a front mesh grille (not sure whether it is missing or was never there to start with) and ideally some tyres. Currently it is on Yokohamas but seemingly 4 different ones
Inside, it needs a good valet. The wood trim is knackered (the shiny coating on it is mostly gone) so that will get removed altogether. Not bothered about that as it was the one thing I hated about my previous one. Have just sent some cash in the direction of MX5parts in exchange for some shiny bits. Good valet at the weekend, bit of leather treatment and then off for a blast
It's good to be back!

They didn't have mesh grills infront of the rad as standard. On some older cars people have actually found fitting a grill has affected the air flow enough to cause it to overheat. Only seems to be if the rad is partly blocked/just getting on a bit.Inside, it needs a good valet.
