Following a failed rear shock i'm looking at the options for our 5 which is on 173k miles
I'm heading towards replacement rear shocks with 4 decent tyres (currently running 3 Pirelli P6000's + 1 other tyre) as the car doesn't do any track work and it tends to be driven by SWMBO more than me.
Any suggestions?

^^^^What he said. (buggered if I know. I want to change, but keep pulling away from the phone thinking "but I could do this OR that")
Exactly!Cost is a big issue for us at the moment - We get married on the 5th July! We want to get the best out of the car but I don't think i'll be able to tell the difference between standard replacement shocks and a full adjustable set up on the road.
