No idea. It doesn't say what the springs are other than blue or red!

Why do you want to lower the car? What is your goal?

I've heard it improves the handling??

Plus it looks a little high. There's also a fair bit of body roll(?) going round corners fast...

Was hoping someone at a meet could give me some advice, take it for a spin etc etc...

It'll only improve the handling is the springs are any good and they are matched to the shocks. Simply fitting lower springs will probably just cause the car to sit on it's bump-stops on hard cornering.
While it is easy enough to fit cheap lowering springs to get the car looking better they rarely do the ride & handling any favours. A set of lowering springs off ebay for £60 or Performance 5 Pure Drive for £500 - which would you guess to be the better quality set-up?

Buy cheap, buy twice.

With forced induction, the quote to remember is:
Cheap - powerful - reliable. Pick 2.

It's similar with most aspects of car modification. In this case I'd suggest:
Cheap - good looking - good ride & handling. Pick 2.

fr3n2y.. I think you're not too far from me (High Wycombe). I'd had the (Performance 5) pure drive springs / dampers put on my car. If you want to take it for a spin sometime, drop me a note.

You get what you pay for old boy! yes

I have fitted eibach springs from mx5parts http://www.mx5parts.co.uk/product_info.php/product...

They are great, gives a good sporty lowered ride but still retains a bit of comfort.

Def up for that! Used to live in Wycombe so know the area really well...

Popped up to the Golden Ball today to take some pics..

I think it'll be a few months before the missus lets me spend any more money on the car but would be cool to try out some other 5's..

Are you going up to the meet on the 22nd? ....convoy?

Are they straight forward to fit?
