Argh indicator lights.....

Just bought some silver (flashes orange) indicator lights to try and clean up the front end on my Mk1 Eunos...got home took the light off and the bulb is already clear!!
The actual light has what looks like an orange insert!! Is there any way to remove this? Dismantling the light etc? If so how?
I can see a couple of clips around the edge but fear breaking the light trying to prise it open, is there an easy way or will I have to buy the whole unit??
