Currently on Roadster VR-A I've got a rear brace on the car, which sits literally behind the seats.

I want to fit a proper functional rollbar (not a 'showy' one) - but also one that doubles as a brace, as I'll need to remove the existing brace to fit the rollbar. And in addition, I'm after one that can take (or comes with) a semi-decent wind blocker.

Can anyone advise or suggest which one(s) to consider?

I should add that it's a Mk1 (just in case).

most functional roll bars actually do a better job of bracing than the stock item which although heavy isn't actually all that strong. not aware of any that come with a windblocker tho...

Not found a wind blocker to use with the Hard Dog deuce yet. I keep planning to simply cut a piece of clear perspex and "zip tie" it to the roll bar.

You can fit the standard Mk2 wind-blocker with the HD Deuce but you can't fold it down unless you "butcher it" (which is what I have done).
The later Mk2.5 wind-blocker that came with speakers might well fit too - if it does then it will probably fold down normally.
