MX5 - immobilised or something else?
Discussion
Dudes,
Just been given an old MX5 to drive round in while a few repairs are being made to the Elise.
On the way back I stopped and started three times and all was OK.
When I got back I pressed a single button on the key fob (which did not seem to do anything with respect to the car's lights).
An hour later the car would not start! A light showing the battery saying "charge" shows.
Given a journey of eighty miles and the car only being parked for one hour it seems unlikely that it is a battery problem, especially as all the cars other electrics work OK.
I've tried various presses and holds of the button on the key fob, with no response from the car or success in getting any engine turning sound.
Any ideas?
Jack
