Righty, I'm after a good suspension kit for my Mazda, that won't break the bank.

It's a snot green Mk1 1.8i.

I want it to be lower (obv), stiffer and generally just better.

I'm not remotely bothered about a firmer ride etc.

Anyone any ideas for any complete bolt on kits?

What about stuff from fleabay?

Cheers,

Dan

Damn. After I don't know how many months, I'm still not getting on with my lady's laptop...

Anyway, here it is:

a lot of peeps find the billies way too stiff for uneven roads. then again, a lot seem to like them. i've never driven on them but would always tend to advise against an overdamped set-up.

If you like properly stiff suspension, then the Bilsteins are the ones for you smile

They are matched to different (I think weaker?) anti-roll bars than standard, so I'd be looking for a set of matching ARBs too.

Hmmm. I think £40 does reflect the fact they are 13 years old but does that make them good value?
There are much better shocks/springs out there. I've just sold my old KYB AGX shocks & FM Springs for £180 - that's a much more realistic price for quality items, in fact it's probably a bit cheap but I'm selling to a friend.

I doubt it does, to be honest, but not knowing which ones to look out for, I thought I'd ask anyway.

I'm not that wealthy, really, which kind of makes the search fcensoredking impossible hehe

Phil at Performance 5 is always replacing stock shocks for uprated ones so you could try giving him a call to see if he has anything lying around.
