I've got a bubbling rear arch and a patch of rust on the corresponding sill. Not an MOT worry by any means but I want to get it sorted before it eats the wing.

I've also got a little patch of rust on the nose cone.

Bloke I saw today said he would grind down the arch, prime repaint etc, and weld me on a new patch sill, and sort the little rust patch at the front for £240.

Hard to say without seeing it I know, but does this sounds reasonable? I didn't have chance to get another quote today but I was impressed with what I saw of his place and his attitude..

sounds ok...my quote was much less for more work, but as i had already had the sills repaired, your quote sounds spot on if it includes the welding.....my quote was £140 for slightly more paintwork/repairs, and i had already had the sills done as a favour, but my mechanic had said he would have charged £200 for the sill repairs alone...so it sounds like you have a good deal....

Had both my sills done a few weeks ago, just need to find the time to get them painted. Have paid for everything, though.

The cost? £20. It's great to have a dad as cool as mine is hehe

As for the arch on mine, it needs doing soon but that probably won't be more than £40. I say, hopefully!
