And now for the really embarassing bit.
I put a new stereo in yesterday
I know, I know...
Pull it out. Put it in the airing cupboard for a few days. Plug it back in and see if it works. If not take it back and go. "Donno whats up with it. Think it's a duff'un mate"I put a new stereo in yesterday
I know, I know...
The car's sat in the garage now but quite frankly that's where it should have been last night, roof down or up.
To say I'm angry with myself right now is an understatement.
I'll just have to see what's what when (if!) it dries.

The carpets are semi water proof.
Unfortunatly they tend to let water through but trap it under them.
Not a short term problem but should we get a summer it may be worth removing them to get the floor fully dry.
A bit like mortar rich pointing, thought they would be. Unfortunatly they tend to let water through but trap it under them.

Thanks for the advice. I've taken the interior apart and the carpet is now drying in a breeze.
When I pulled the carpets back, I though a religeous man with a big boat and lots of animals were going to spring out on me
I won't repeat what I said...
Anyway, here's us half-way through taking the carpets up. Those seats weigh a ton!
Here they are in their current position - I didn't want to take them all the way out because it is only the rear parts that are wet and also I have to get them back in!
And here's my sophisticated method of holding the carpet up
Let's see if this works!
ETA: This was the weekend set aside for respraying my sills.
On the plus side, I did find 32p under my seat...
