There is an occasional ‘clicking’ noise from what sounds like my OSF brake when I start to apply the break. Any one experienced similar or got any ideas what to do or what it is?

It probably means the pad is moving slightly within the calliper, which isn't at all unusual.

yeah mate it's normal - especially on after market pads and if you don't use the old shims. no worries smile

It can mean that your suspension bushes are buggered but I agree with the others, it's far more likely to be the pads moving around, especially if they are approaching the end of their life.
