Is anyone interested in taking on a project car?. I have advertised it in the classifieds http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/467920.htm

I think I have been a little ambitious with my initial pricing but let me know if you are interested and I can pass on all the details. I'm going to be sad to see this one go but I am moving to London and will no longer have a workshop to build it in so she's got to go.

Tell you what I'd do. Sell the shell to one of the Max5 racers whos stuffed their car. And flog the fancy parts on the net through e-bay etc.

I dont think anybody is going to want to spend what you are asking on a non running car.

A little over priced...

To sell as a job lot you'll be lucky to get £4k.

Worth far more selling off individually on forums or Ebay.

in short, you are completely dreaming at that price, if you think that you will get anywhere near retail prices for secondhand parts you are kidding yourself, you will probably get 30% of the kit prices which is about £2500. what exactly did you spend 8 large on? i can't see it from the list you put on the advert and for the shell you are looking at a few quid.

in my opinion, you would be lucky to get £3k for it.

Sorry to add to the sentiments above but that is a staggering price for an non-runner.

As others have said, sell the parts individually on eBay and see if you can find anyone who wants the shell.

Traditionally, modded cars only realise a fraction of their build cost when sold so I don't think your current price is realistic.

Well thanks for the advice guys, I was definately over ambitious with my pricing but I guess we all have to learn one way or another. I think I'm just hugely dissapointed that I have got this stage but I guess thats life.

I'll be sticking some of the items on ebay soon so if you are interested in any thats where they'll be. Thanks again for some sound advice.
