Following some previous adviceon here which was very helpful i have now changed my gearbox oil for the recommended redline synthetic and also found the lower gear shift boot was damaged so have replaced that also. But unfortunately i am still having some trouble with my gear shift certainly not as smooth as it was originally. I am starting to wonder now whether it is the clutch. Is there any adjustment that can be made either at the bellhousing or at the pedal end that may help to sort this?

Thanks in advance

James

Did you also replace the turret oil when you replaced the shift boot?

Could the clutch slave cylinder be on its way out? Common fault but easy to replace and not too expensive either.

yeah i removed all of the old turret oil and replaced it. Just finding it difficult to engage 2nd gear. I have a feeling the clutch is worn which was why i had asked the question about adjustment. The same thing happened 6 months ago and when car came back from service, the problem was sorted. I would take it back tomorrow but they have since closed so no can do. Any help much appreciated!
