screwing number plate to bumper

After coming back from work last night and finding someone has backed into the number plate for I think, the 5th time and smashed the caseing up - I think this is a sign that ive lost.

How easy is it to screw the number plate to the front bumper using the provided holes?

Do I need to get any special fixings at lunchtime if i'm to do it this evening?

an easy way to fix is either 3M double sided tape or get some sticky back velcro...
