Accelerator issue

I have had this problem crop up twice now. There has been a 2 month gap in between the two.

I am driving along quite happily and then all of a sudden the first CM" of peddle travel does nothing then it kicks in at the amount of revs its supposed to be at. This only happens when the car is in gear then soon as the problem happens it goes away

im just hoping its not the clutch going (it seems fine otherwise)

Could be a problem with your throttle position sensor...
