Hi all, new to all this, i have a 1990 eunos roadster jap import, can anyone help with fitting a new carpet, i have taken most of the major stuff out already and am struggling with getting the dash and heating and radio console out, this has to come out as the carpet fits really far underneath this, would be grateful for any help at all, thanks.

Struggling to remember now but you need to get a wire coathanger or similar, make a hook in the end, push it through the air vent on the centre console and give a sharp pull. The air vent will pop out and reveal a screw. Undo this, then repeat for the second air vent.

There are further screws at the base of the centre console. To get to these you need to remove the gearlever surround/armrest thing. Two screws either side at the gearlever end, one under the ashtray(?) and a couple in the cubbyhole where the boot release is.

Thanks for that will try it now and let you know how i got on.
Phil

Already had all of that off, it's all the rest of the radio and heater console that's bolted to the car, it also includes the plastic surrounds that holds the inerior lights that i need to get off, there are a couple of screws holding it in place but can't seem to get to them from behind.

Get the Rod Grainger manual, one of the best workshop manuals I've used.

Now I know this isn't going to help much but I've just done the reverse of what you're doing. I've stripped the carpet out of my car and as far as I could work out you'd need to take the whole dash and heater box out to replace or remove the carpet in one piece, it goes around the centre support so must be fitted prior to the dash going in at the factory. I ended up using scissors....
