Does anyone have a table, or list of what the oil pressure should be on my mk 1 1.6 eunos? It has the real oil pressure gauge fitted but I have never really known what the values should be?

if it has the original good oil pressure guage then it should be about 4 on the scale on start up and drop to about 2 when the oil is fully warm on idle.

hope that helps

Mine is not that high? about 3.5, maybe 4 on start up, then when fully warm it sits about 1.0? moving up with the revs

Mine shows that sometimes. I found it to be some dirt in the connection from the sender. A little clean and it was back to normal.

I was thinking the same as the car does not use any oil between changes and runs so sweet. where exactly is the sender unit as I will whip it off and give it a clean this weekend.

It's on the engine block about 4 inches below the inlet manifold (i.e. drivers side) - and you'll need special 17 jointed small arms to get to it!

Can be got to - it's a little awkward and has a single wire going into it. Good luck!
