Can anyone recommend the best place to get some decent carpet mats and a new leather gear gaiter for a mk1? I'm looking for black mats in good quality carpet to replace the tatty 13 year old originals.

Thanks,
Pete

for the gaiter there are some people on ebay who appear to be very good.

there was a seller called mr.gaiter (spelling might not be correct) but i cant find him. i have a suspicion that he might have changed his name to this as all the wording on the items seem to be the same:
http://stores.ebay.co.uk/GENUINE-LEATHER-GAITERS

prices for gaiters are very good and you can customise your order. at some point i am going to replace my gear gaiter for one from him in black leather with blue stitching.

hope that helps

My Fiancee brought a red leather gear gaiter and handbrake gaiter for £13 from ebay.

Very easy to fit and looks good. I'll get a couple of pics next weekend.

Thanks for all the advice - I bought a set from MX5Parts in the end, and they arrived two days later. Excellent service and good prices I thought.
