This years insurance hunt....MX3-5 surprising drop in price.
Discussion
Ok in Oct 2005 I had just renewed my policy with Adrian Flux for somewhere around £450. Then my car was damaged (hit and run) and I had to claim to get it fixed. Oct 2006 and the renewal quote was £1300. A-Plan sorted me out for a smidgin over £1000.
Oct 2007 and the quote is £885 from A-Plan. I ring around a few places. £2500(LV), £1000(lots of places) etc. Eventually try Adrian Flux again and get a quote of £789. It's the cheapest I'll take it. As they are confirming the details from the quote the bloke says "And it's the V6 right". Errr... no. 1.8 yes. V6 no. Turns out the quote was for an MX3. Re ran the quote on the MX5....this took a long time.
£488. I almost tore the blokes arm off.
What I fail to see is why the MX3 was so much more...but who cares. I just saved £400 off the renewal price. WOOOOO!!
(I await the documents though....just incase)
