Changing alloys on a mk3

The mk3 comes standard with 16" silver alloys, but I think it'd look better with black ones and perhaps a 17" alloy with a lower profile tyre.

Has anyone done this? Does it affect the ride at all?

Also, does anyone know of any good places to get new wheels for a 5 from?

i think it looks wicked, there's one mk3 i know of that's gone to black 17's, but it looks better in the metal than in the pic

i believe he got them for a bargain price off ebay (just the rims, and then he put goodyear eagle F1 tyres on)

polished rim looks good on a silver 5, but there is something so about the black ones, thanks for postin the pics!!

i'll probably see the guy tonight and ask if he has anymore pics - like i say, the last time i saw it, the car looked even better than that (the top one with the black wheels) - i can ask where he got them too

didn't catch up with him last night but i'll email him and see if he's got any more pics - he got the wheels from ebay tho, for £200 - they are off a limited ed mx5
