Up to '94 the Mx5/Roadster got the "real deal" oil pressure gauge. I.E. it will sit constant when idling, but move around when accelerating/decelerating. Post '94 they got the dummy gauge which sits in the middle when you have pressure no matter what you do with the loud pedal.
At idle mine sat between 1.8 and 2 once warmed
