Although I have a mk2.5, I have to admit that the mk1 is the best looking of all the generations. There is something about the clean simplicity of the lines and pop-up headlights that just looks so good.Edited to say that my ultimate mx-5 would combine the looks and handling of the of the mk1 with the saftey features of the mk3 and the engine from the MPS range (2.3DI turbo 250ish bhp)....
