folks, Assuming I had my own private roundabout smile

if I have a regular [i.e. non LSD]

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tLh5r9_eD6g

would the antics in the video above be

1. possible with enough skill - but much easier if you had an LSD
2. no different whichever diff you have
3. totally impossible unless you have an LSD?

... just curious smile

either 1 or 3. you can certainly drift with an open diff and it's in fact easier to get the back out with an open diff, but to maintain the drift under power you really need an lsd - an open will just spin up the unloaded wheel and you won't get any forward drive. therefore i believe that a torsen will also not be much good at this sort of thing - you'd need something like the cusco / mazdaspeed / kaaz diff.

That has a slip diff , but he is also nipping the handbrake to get it to slide , the surface looks similar to the carpark at my local co op which is ideal for going sideways biggrin

must learn to speed type properly

yeah - thats what I found on the last walshy day I did - I could get the back out, but a graceful slide round a corner was pretty difficult.

cheers for the info.

Slightly OT but how often should the LSD oil be changed? My car has done 33k miles and from the previous service reports its quite difficult to tell if its been done before

should last 5 years or so but no harm in doing it more frequently
