Morning!
Yesterday my clutch pedal decided to go all floppy and limp (no sniggering at the back). I was on full lock reversing into a parking space when the problem happened.
The biting point has dropped to about 4mm from the floor rather than it normal place a good few centimeters different. Also engaging from first to reverse and vice versa is impossible unless I double the clutch between shifts. There was no slipping before this happened so I don't think the clutch has "gone".
I'm waiting for a spot in the garage to open up (tomorrow hopefully) but in the mean time I'm wondering if anyone has any suggestions as to what might be the cause?

It sounds to me like either your clutch master or slave cylinder has a knackered seal.
both are fairly easy to get to and replace and replacement parts aren't expensive so I'd probably have a go at fixing it myself rather than paying a garage to do it - assuming you are the type who doesn't mind playing with the oily bits.
