HANDS FREE KIT

My wifes brought a hands free kit and halfords tried fitting it this morning, Its an import with head rest speakers , the lad from halfords fitted it ok and has done a neat job BUT it turns out the speakers in the doors arnt working properly so when the hands free kicks in you cant hear anything the fitter says that its supposed to switch from head rest speakers to door speakers when a call comes in , the door speaker do work but even with the sound on max you can't hear anything. is this the norm with an eunos, the fitter says it might be the amp but doesn't know he cant find out until monday so does anyone have any ideas . will the fitter have to wire the kit to the head rest speakers ?.

Shouldnt have to and they only have the amp in the headunit , should be able to knock the lot out with a mute lead using the mute wire to shut the ign supply to the radio as i doubt it has a mute
