J,
Yeah - got your email - and I'll get around to sorting it shortly, I promise.
As for the MG - if it was a 'B' then I'd buy it right now, but I have to confess I'm not a fan of the midgets. Dunno why - they just never clicked with me - but the Bs - for sure!

Thanks Mark, I was just concerned it would go out to the wrong address which would cause a bit of a problem!Yeah - got your email - and I'll get around to sorting it shortly, I promise.

I looked at a couple of Midgets before I got my '5, but the gearchange and rust meant the '5 was the victor. Im still going to buy one, almost exactly like the above, for the old mans birthday soonish when everything has come together,as he certainly gets all misty eyed about them.
Ever since his driven my car I think he wants to relive his youth....

It says it's a 1.8S so it would have come with alloy wheels. Those steelies look way too clean (they age very quickly) so I reckon the owner sold the alloys separately gambling that it wouldn't affect the sale price of the car. Each to their own etc, but what on earth were they thinking?!

Not as bad as expected.
IIRC Steel wheels were a must have racing accesory in the 50s and 60s when wire wheels were in the norm, but had to be built very heavily to take the torque (take a look at the C and D type jags for example)
Guess this is an older owner trying to go for that look?
Had feared they were gonna be 21" spinners or soemthing
Personally, I think the normal BBS jobies suit it pretty well. Those or minilites perhaps.

I've got a set of those sat in the garage with knackered old tyres on for autotesting
I think they originally came from a 2004 car. The most very poverty spec models came with them. I guess if you didn't like whatever wheels Mazda were offering at the time you could spec a set of steel wheels and then buy whatever you fancied aftermarket too..
