Hi everyone

Apologies if this has been dealt with before: I'm looking for a motorsport rollbar for my MX-5 as I'm taking it hillblimbing. It's a roadgoing class, so it can't get in the way of the hood (ruling out a full cage).

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Cheers

Jap ones - on Ebay or via breakers / importers.

New I THINK Safety devices did one otherwise its the USA ones - Hard Dog or... I can't remember their name now

Hard Dog don't rob leg room, all others do.

Hard Dog ones are about the only ones that are worth having - get them from performance5

On MX5Nutz look in the group buy section as there is a group buy of Hard Dog Roll bars at present. Do a search to find Hard Dogs site as there are loads of cages to choose from.

In typical internet fashion about 12 people said yes I want one when organising but so far after a month only 3 deposits have been received buy performance 5 so if you want one please add your name to the list so we may at least get a discount. biggrin

See my other post on the similar thread on roll bars.

Silverhat - it would be good to see you out on the hills. I'm biased but I'd recommend the HSA Aldon Speed Series.

Steve, I was interested in that group buy - the trouble is that there's barely any discount so nobody's committed.

?thought it was 15% off, not the biggest discount, but if you want one then its still a discount.

Thanks guys, Hard Dog looks good to me. I tried MX5Nutz and couldn't get on to register. I'll try again later.

MazDave, I agree, I'm planning to enter the Aldon Championship. I'll let you know when I'm up and running - probably early August.

Cheers

Better than nothing I suppose wink I do wonder whether it's worthwhile without buying 2 bucket seats and a pair of race harnesses though... rolleyes

Lotus Elise seats. I bought them for £100 the pair. I just need the harnesses now.
