Simple question but what are the symptoms of a knackered clutch? driving to Hastings from Swindon today when I got held up on the A21 (lovely road....not) after about 30 mins of stop start diving I went to put my foot down in second gear when the revs flared but the vehicle speed didnt increase, this happened once more.

This didnt happen again? the biting point for the clutch is quite high, so is it new clutch time?????????????

Sounds like Jack wink A test that I have used for many years on the clutch to see if it is weak is to; Pull the handbrake up, engage fourth gear and go to pull off. If the car does not stall but revs in gear going nowhere then your clutch is shot.

Rather be black than a Jack wink only joking mate good luck with the clutch
