...when you've left the hood down!

Did that yesterday and enjoyed driving home in a damp seat.

Am I the only one stupid enough to do this?

But it only takes two seconds to put up the roof in an MX-5, from the driver's seat even!
Why leave it down?

Somewhere between laziness and 'it'll be alright' (it was in the work car park)

Also, I've got the plastic zip up back window and a wind deflector, so it's not just the catches. Second time I've done it too...

Best mod I made to ours was replacing the mk1 roof and frame with one from a mk2
Nice glass rear window and it's soo much easier to put up

Not the rain that bothered me at the weekend, but the monster sized puddles that kept jumping into the car. Need to get some wippers on my specs...

I ing love it when it rains - my LSD won't break traction in the dry. Becomes oversteer o'tastic in the wet

Given control of the weather I'd insured it rained heavily immediately before I left the house every morning and was replaced by blue skies when I actually went out. That way I could have the hood down, hooning to my hearts content.

Coming back off that tangent - yes, I hate it. Especially seems virtually every time it's happened to me I've been on a motorway. Find it usually blows over pretty rapidly. No real objection if it's on a quiet road though.
