Hi what on earth does bhp mean to a soon to be mazda mx 5 owner.

The same as it does on every single other car ever? Brake Horse Power... Unless there is another, more specialised meaning that I've yet to encounter?

It means lots of choice from the uk 1.6 thats 90bhp, the jap 1.6 thats approx 115bhp? and the 1.8 mk1s about 133bhp, 1.8mk2s 150bhp ish or supercharged cars about 190bhp ish usually or big turbo 260bhp cars (turbo & supercharged cars are very very common).
