Dear all,

I am keen for an old MX5 for Summer but have to lug around a lassie dog.
Is it possible to make space behind the seats or convert the boot so that it hinges from the rear like the SLK when the roof is being stored?

OK, any ideas how to fit the missus behind the parcel shelf or in the boot?

No has to be the only answer to this one. Well, I suppose it is technically possible to reverse hinge the boot just as it is possible to perform home castration - but I certainly wouldn't try it.

I would say not to both suggestions. Although we did have our labrador sat on the floor in front of the passenger seat once.

Simple - purchase anotehr '5, cut one just behind the door shut line and the other just behind the windscreen. Then simply weld together the two long bits eh voila - space for dog and missus in their own individual seats!

You can then use the otehr two remaining halves to make an, albeit uncomfortably, easy to park MX5!

Would be better than the MGF limo on Top Gear...
