They're my wheels!
As far as I know they were put on the very last 'S' spec UK Mk 1 cars ('98) - see my profile pic - but were originally only on one of the special edition Eunos - VR Limited maybe.
I've never had it officially verified about them being on the last UK Mk1 Ss but every one of the very last '98 cars I've seen has had them on. I still declare them as optional extras to my insurer though.

I think they were factory fitted Enkei alloys (judging by the Miata.net wheel guide). Fairly sure they were standard on at least the Combination A VR-Limited. I can't remember if the Combination B had them too.
I'm not sure which of the UK cars were fitted with them but as the previous poster said, probably only the later ones.
The car in your link would have originally had lighter 15" BBS alloys when it left the factory.
