So I have finally decided to open my wallet and get a MX5, even if only for a year to scratch that itch and its been 9 months of agonising over it.

Due to the ND2 having the telescopic steering (which I think I need to get comfortable), thats the model I am aiming for.

I test drove the 2 litre and liked torque, so am not sure whether I should get the 1.5.

Also while I realliy want the AE30, prices are high in dealer and practically none privately.

So my question is do I wait for the right AE to come along or should I just bite the bullet and get the best ND2 I can for my budget of around £17k? Also it worth doing the drive in the 1.5 just in case, although my heart is really after a AE 30th, having missed the chance to get a AE 10 over 25 years ago.

Before anyone asks, ULEZ means I need a newer car and I don't fancy the NC.

thanks

The Anniversary is worth waiting for, from what you’ve said it’s what you truly want so hopefully the winter brings some more within your budget. There was somebody in the FB groups who had been to look at the one at Sytner Select and was disappointed with the condition.

But yeah, it’s orange , it’s got cool wheels and seats and brakes - get the Anni smile

I think I shall wait for a AE, it’s washstand I really want and I am away for a month anyway.

Appreciate the feedback
