Just bought a fab RF 2.0 2022 model.

On the back is an aftermarket looking transfer that says "Limited Edition".

As far as I know it is just a Sport Tech model.

I know Mazda brought out special editions every other week but not sure what is special on this model.

Obviously all MX5s are special....

Any thoughts?

Probably best to pop along to your local Mazda dealer and ask. They should be able to look up the records for that particular car and tell you exactly.

I have a Limited Edition R - Sport only 150 produced between 2020 - 2021. Nowhere on the car is there a limited edition badge.

Same with my special edition Sport Venture (160 examples in 2021) there is no badging with limited edition.

From Mazda U.K.

"After talking with our product team, the MX-5 purchased is of standard specifications.

Mazda UK did not apply the ‘Limited Edition’ sticker to this vehicle.

This may have been added by a third party during the car's lifetime.

Our records show this VIN is a Mazda MX-5 RF 2.0 184ps Sport Tech / Black Leather (11/21) which was not a limited edition."

That's a great car, I believe that's the lightest version made of the ND due to the 16 inch forged wheels and 1.5 engine. I test drove one but didn't really fit. I think it would look even better with a dark red roof like the one fitted to the z sport.

Maybe they removed the badge to save weight.

Surprised they haven't removed the hyphen in MX-5 to save weight. biggrin
