Any tips on the best/quickest way to get the car back on the road.

They’re not even worth that much, such a hassle for you just because a scroat wants to make £50.

A Mazda dealer will of course be able to replace it but is likely the most expensive method

Cheaper but possibly not as quick ways are buy one from MX5Parts or a breaker and have an Indy fit it

Euros etc do aftermarket versions which are cheaper but don’t tend to have the longevity of the original part
