Looking at one to buy, they seem to be really cheap which is surprising, from 2k for a 100k mile ones, I was surprised to see their prices so low

Anything I should look out for?

Thanks in advance

Corrosion is the biggest issue with them.

Usual corrosion issues for japanese cars of this age - google is your friend and has lots of diagrams on where to check as mx5 issues are well known.

Options such as heated seats and Bose stereo are great so long as they work.... Speakers often 'buzz' if they got damp at any point in their history and the BOSE ones are surprisingly expensive to replace as they are an odd specification, so just bear that in mind.

A lot of the second hand ones at that price will either have been welded or waxoyled - not necessarily a problem if your paying very little.
