BLOODY AUTO FILL!!!

Hi all,

Just wondering if anyone had any recommendations for a phone holder which fits into the 'globe' air vents above the hi-fi in the Mk 2.5?

I am fed up with having to play lucky dip when my phone rings and it would clearly help a great deal when using the Sat Nav. I really don't want one that suckers or glues onto the dash as they have a tendency to leave marks and I hate having wires trailing everywhere so I use the shortest usb lead that I can. Thinking about I have single din radio so one that would fit snugly into the shelf below would possibly work as well.

Thanks for help in advance. thumbup

I have a couple of these I bought in Halfords
https://www.halfords.com/technology/mobile-phone-a...

The one in my Mazda3 works a treat but the air vents are horizontal, but not overly great in the MX5, although that is more to do with the fact that the air vent is quite loose and it just tips down and then the weight of the phone can make it drop out. If your air vents are quite stiff then it will probably work quite well, but appreciate that £16 is a lot of fork out to test the theory.

I'll keep looking for a bit but I might well give it a go. Its difficult to define a droopy air vent!

You can pull out the vents with some tools (Youtube it) and then put some foam or something in the gap to make your vents less floppy. The factory foam will have perished.

I remember this issue on my NB.
