Long shot

Having lusted for a mx5 mk1/2 project for some time now and having stopped the drinking ( thanks to the 365 day’s without alcohol thread on here ), I really want to make a start. I’m not in the financial position to buy said car yet but the idea is to start collecting parts ect for the build. Which leads me to my long shot question, does anybody have a 1.8 engine there willing to let go cheap, I will be doing a full forged re-build so non runners ect are welcome, I just want something to get my teeth stuck into to start stripping down and preparing ect. Thanks all

Hertfordshire. But I do have a lot of family not to far from you ( north / south anston )
