Possible a daft question but here we go. The MK1/2 and MK 4 MX5s all have 4 stud wheels (where as Mk3 are 5 stud), are they all the same PCD and offset?
Reason for asking is I would like (don't need) a spare set of wheels for my MK 4 but they are rare and expensive 2nd hand. MK2 wheels can be got fairly cheaply.

From what I can see Mk4 fitment difference is ET45 vs ET38-40 for MK1 and 2 (PCD and centre bores the same). So same width wheel sits 5 to 7mm closer to arch (I think, confirm that for yourself). This means the offset difference goes the wrong way to be corrected with a spacer. It may or may not be a problem, gut feel is if you get ET40, 5mm is unlikely to cause a problem.
