I have a nice condition mk2 mx5 that I bought a few years back when such things could be had very cheaply. Not too long after I was going to part with it due to a house move, but a relative said it was too nice to sell and they'd garage it / look after it for me. I'm now thinking it's time to bring it back home

My dilemma is what to do with it. I've been contemplating what I want car wise. I like classic cars, and had been considering another Lancia Beta, or a Triumph GT6, but then parts availability and garages who know what they are up to with such vehicles are a pain. That lead me to thinking about maybe a Cayman S or something instead but that seems like a decent wedge of money when the MX5 is a nice car and the extra performance isn't really going to be missed.

So.. compromise. What if I took the MX5 but then did a subtle change or two.. I was thinking maybe dunlop style alloys - would these look utterly stupid on an MX5?

Equally, has anyone tried these out with any experience they are willing to share?

those aftermarket lights will not be as good as origonal items, means nothing if you want the lookconfused

as to wheels, interisting look, might work in a lightwieght E-type style?

I bought some Enkei 'Formula W-1' wheels (6/14" et 45 cast centres with spun barrels / rims welded to them) but have not fitted them yet as I'm lazylaugh

only problem is I keep getting told they look like the wheels used on Triumph Acclaim's but I like to think Spitfiresbeer

Perhaps they will look better on the car? Now you’ve said Triumph Acclaim, that’s all I can see
