Opinions on these sill repairs?

I haven't posted anything for ages, but the photos looked familiar as I've just finished a sill repair on our 2004 car. Very similar problems in that the bottom of the structures inside the sills had rotted despite me trying wax when we bought the car about six years back. I think your welding looks pretty tidy and the repair actually has replaced the inner structure - I found some pictures on line with a neat looking car being part dismantled to reveal that there was nothing inside the rear wing but a shower of damp looking rust!
I'm 66 now and do not recommend car restoration outside in November! Good luck with the car - now I have to get mine tested.

Replying to my own topic is surely an aspect of the latest lockdown. I got the MX5 tested early in December without any problems, so fairly pleased about that. Not finished painting, and not some of my best or neatest welding but good enough for the tester to joke that if I wanted, he could put some work my way!
