Fuel tank 1.6 vs 1.8

My MX5 (2002 mk2.5 1.6) is currently at the garage with a rotten fuel tank.
Mazda say that they have none in Europe and I'd be looking at the top end of £400+ along with a 6-8 weeks wait.
I've seen a couple on eBay but more mention that they're from a 1.8.
Does anybody know if the fuel tank from a 1.8 mk2.5 will fit a 1.6 mk2.5?

Trying to tot up the costs of new fuel tank + whatever it needs to get through an MOT in September and whether I need to consider other options...

I would expect them to be the same (because why would they use a different part when they don't have to) but can't confirm.

Brilliant - had a feeling they might be.
Finally got through to Mazda and they have confirmed the same.
