Sorry if this has been asked before (it almost certainly will have been) but can somebody give me a rough ball park figure for how I could reasonably be quoted for welding to both outer sills and most probably the inners too?

Cars a UK spec MK1 if that makes any difference?

Thank you

I had it done to 2 mk1s, both times it was just the outer sills and just at the ends - first car (quite a while ago) , 2 corners cost £250 , 3 or 4 years ago on the second car , three corners cost about £350 IIRC. I imagine having the inner sills done too would double it at least?

It depends how well you want it done....just paid well into 4 figures having my NA done at a well known specialist (1 outer sill at rear, 1 outer+inner sill at rear, 1 wheelarch outer) plus paint and full underseal and it looks perfect, inside and out (got pics of inners before the outers went on). Obviously I can't say how long it'll last but with every spec of rust removed and the underseal applied, it must be as good as it left the factory if not better?!

On a previous car I had it done for £150 each side and the rust was back about 2 years later.

I guess there's probably a middle ground in there somewhere but for me the car is a keeper so I didn't want to take chances...
