MK2 1.8 in Mk1..i know its been covered many times however..

Hi All,
recently purchased a mk1 1.8 with a bottom end knock and come across a mk2 1.8 to go into it.
i realize the mk2 motor has a VICS system that will require an RPM switch among other things from both engines to work.
The mk2 engine loom has been cut, for ease of removal i assume... will the mk1 engine loom connect to the mk2 engine?
