Looking for exhaust suggestions any ideas?

Hey, all I'm trying to decide on what exhaust to go for and I'm having trouble deciding it's really hard to make a decision of a video without seeing it in person. I definitely want some noise to have fun but don't want silly loud. So so far I do actually have an older power flow back box but when switching it over to the other car, it was a slight bodge lol and my mate ended up cutting the pipe a bit short and it just keeps coming loose and coming off. Currently it's a test pipe no cat, standard mid pipe and the back box and I do like the sound of it it's got some noise to it but not asbo loud.
The car is a 94 eunos by the way so I've been looking mx5 parts single exit, cobalt and for the lairy end RSR/Malian/manzo but I've heard this are really loud and the video doesn't do them justice, guess it'd be a laugh for about a week then the drone would probably get annoying so I think i decided against this. I guess I could get a silencer welded in at a later date but that's just more messing around.
Anyway in terms of the cobalt and some reviews allot of people have been saying they were underwhelmed by it due to the mid silencer but not sure what it would be like with a testpipe or decat so I'm having a hard time deciding on what route to go down. The mx5 parts single exit doesn't seem to have a mid silencer i'm guessing the quality has still got to be pretty good. Pretty much everything else out side of that il motorsport, borla, m2 is a little out of my price range.
Any ideas?
Cheers

I've got the MX5 Parts single exit system on my '94 1.8i. It's a really nicely made bit of kit, I fitted it myself pretty easily (on axle stands - never again!), and it makes a nice noise. Quite a lot louder than standard, with no centre silencer and a smaller back box, but not so loud that it's antisocial.
I too had the MX5Parts exhaust, although the twin one. It lasted for 10+ years with no issues and was still on the final mk1 I had when I sold it. Quite loud when you give it the beans but I also had a silenced decat pipe from Moss which made it louder. With the cat on it was much quieter but I didn't like the sound as much.
I did try it with an unsilenced cat bypass but that was just ridiculously loud and not very nice, kept it on a week then binned it.

Borla back box with a million mile guarantee. Got one via BA captain who purchased it whilst in the States but never fitted it. The sound was a discreet burble with a slighter larger than OE slash cut exhaust tip which was exactly the right size for the car's diminutive size. Too easy to fall for the loud Yob look with oversize drainpipes.
