Help needed: mk1 1.6 misfire
Discussion
Hi all.
Was driving along on sat when it dropped down to 3 cylinders. Pulled out the offending cylinders ht lead and there was oil every where. So I've replaced the rocker gasket, offending spark plug and dried out the ht lead, but still no luck!!
Any ideas? Replace ht lead? Try and dry it out even more? Can't seem to get all the oil out. Spark still has oil at the top.
Thanks

Absolutely try a different HT lead. Borrow one from somewhere if you can for a trial. They shouldn't be that expensive anyway. Are you sure it's all the one cylinder, the oil might be a red herring.
Usually with misfires it's lead, plugs, coil pack in ascending order of cost. Cam angle sensor gets in there too.
