Bad idea unless you've got the determination/time/money to develop it. BBRs warranty doesn't cover any track work which speaks volumes. They do make good road cars though. The rough rule of thumb for those in the know is N/A for track, turbo for road.
A couple of mk3 MR2 2zz converted cars around at the moment. Wouldnt have the torque of a turbo NC but arguably would be more raw and significantly more reliable (if you have a baffled sump).
