Think I’m set on a mk3 nc with a stage 2 turbo as a track car.

Anyone regularly track or drift these and how do they cope?

It’s this or a Z4m as I know those can take relentless beating. Hoping the mx5 is much cheaper to run tho and more raw.

Keep an eye on the oil level.

Bad idea unless you've got the determination/time/money to develop it. BBRs warranty doesn't cover any track work which speaks volumes. They do make good road cars though.
The rough rule of thumb for those in the know is N/A for track, turbo for road.

A couple of mk3 MR2 2zz converted cars around at the moment. Wouldnt have the torque of a turbo NC but arguably would be more raw and significantly more reliable (if you have a baffled sump).
