ND Sat Nav

I've had my ND 2.0 sport nav a couple of weeks now and today I went to use the sat nav which informed me the vehicle isn't fitted with sat nav.

Does this mean either the previous owner or garage I bought it from have removed the SD card or do they expire after a time limit?

Car is a 16 reg so now just beyond 3 years old.

A quick update, managed to find the SD card in the slot in middle of the dash so it is present if nothing else.

Any ideas as to why it would appear not to work?

Car has warranty on it so could speak to the garage but they're a VW dealer where the mx5 had been traded in.

They don't expire but the right to download updates does. I would download the update software to see if it can reapply the software to the SD card.

Not sure I have an SD reader on my laptop but I'll look into it.
Would expect if previous owner had issues he'd have had it sorted under manufacturers warranty.
