Hi there, my car has unfortunately fallen victim to either accidental or purposeful damage by some tt. I woke up the other week to see the wing mirror (drivers side) was hanging on by the wire for the motor. I've taken it off in an attempt to stick the snapped support arm back together with some high strength epoxy, but I think the plastic must be one of two types that the epoxy doesn't work on. I've had a look online for spares, but the ones I've seen are £75 minimum, even from breakers yards.

The ideal scenario would be to just buy the plastic support arm if that can be purchased anywhere? I wouldn't mind having a go at dismantling the mirror itself to save some money. Otherwise is there anywhere you can get a cheap replacement?

Cheers

Happened to me 3 times over the past 6 years. I had to buy a full wing mirror each time and for a new one you're looking at roughly £130. 2nd hand I'm sure you'll find cheaper, get in touch with AK Automotive or Blink and the likes. Pretty sure they'll have some spares in stock and they're usually pretty reasonable

Strangely I woke up to the same sight on Tuesday. I hately taped it back together just to get me to work and then I glued it together with some 2pk glue, but can't remember what it's called. I look in the morning if you want. Did yours snap the black plastic pivot bit inside, if so that's the same as mine. I checked the dash can on ours and nothing was recorded. It also happened to ours about 5 years ago not long after we bought the car and I glued it then, so it may have been a slight knock that did it this time. Only this is ours doesn't fold because of the glue, but it's not the widest car in the world so never been an issue.
