i have recently acquired a green mk1 mx5 eunos roadster from a neighbor who bought a new version. the problem is what i wanna do to it, i want to put a rocket bunny body kit on it but i dont know if i could bring myself to do it from watching people cut up there cars to put body kits on them. my reasoning for this is that it is a very clean mx5, no rust, no bumps or dings and has sat in a garage being regularly driven for the past 10 to 20 years and im not sure if i can just cut it up. its too nice
i did buy it for only £500 tho and would love to have a rocket bunny mx5

Thoughts?

Don't chop it up!!!
A rust free mx5 is a rare thing. Particularly a UK car. What mileage is it? Low mile examples command pretty good prices.
There are plenty of modified mx5 out there if that's what you want.

If it's as good as you say, I'd either keep it stock and enjoy it, or sell it to someone who will do the same, and use the cash to buy a base for mods.

I'm guessing you're thinking about a copy of the Rocket Bunny kit, rather than spending 2 grand on the real deal.

Either way, it'd be a massive shame to cut the arches off a solid car when there are many that are so rusty you'd be doing them a favour.

I bought a slightly rusty mk1 Monza in November 2017 . My a k a son in law has restored it for me including full respray and I love it as my occasional use classic.
My advice is don't mess with it if it's sound just improve it as standard.
